How early in advance should I book a charter?

We recommend that you book or reserve your charter as soon possible. Due to the unpredictable fluctuation in availability within our industry, we always urge our customers and potential clients to book early in order to avoid unavailability due to sold out dates.

What information do I need in order to get a quote?

All we need is your contact information, date of the charter, origin, destination, vehicle size or passenger count, and any additional logistics in order to provide you with the most accurate quote.

How large of a group can you transport?

There is no group too large or too small for us to accommodate. With the hard work of our dedicated and experienced staff, we’ve moved groups as large as 2,500 people on a single event. Let us know what your event entails, and one of our customer support staff will be able to assist you every step of the way.

Do you have regularly scheduled tours?

No, but if you are able to gather a group, we would be more than happy to quote you a charter bus to your destination.

Do you allow pets?

We only allow trained guide dogs aboard our buses.

Are your drivers and equipment SPAB certified?

Yes, all of our full-time drivers and equipment are SPAB (School Pupil Activity Bus) certified by the California Highway Patrol.

Why do I need to sign an AB-45?

California state legislature passed Assembly Bill 45, also known as the Brett Studebaker Law, requiring accountability for underage drinking.

Do you have a credit card surcharge?

Yes. We have a 3% surcharge.

What does the service fee cover?

This fee helps offset our variable costs, such as fire inspections and permits, fees for the state of California, and utilities. This helps us to keep our rates consistent all year long instead of a fluctuating pricing scale.

What are your hours of operation?

Our Main Office (408.279.4801) is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Dispatchers (408.477.2020) are available Monday through Friday, 5:00 am – 7:30 pm. Our On-Call Manager (408.640.6248) is available on nights and weekends (Monday through Friday, 7:30 pm – 5:00 am and Saturday and Sunday 24/7)

Do you have any hours that are restricted for a trip?

To promote safety, If your trip is over 300 miles, we do not begin between the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 am.

Do you allow beverages and food on the bus?

Yes, we do allow food and beverages on board with a cleaning deposit of $300. The deposit will be held on any major credit card and will not be billed unless the vehicle requires anything more than normal cleaning.

Can I request my driver’s contact information?

Upon confirmation of your Charter Order, you may request the direct line to our dispatcher, who can contact your driver. Once you meet your driver in person, you are welcome to request his information. Our drivers do not use company phones, so it is upon your driver’s discretion to provide his personal phone number. Royal Coach Tours and its Drivers follow all California State and Federal regulations with cell phone usage for (CMV) Commercial Motor Vehicles drivers.
